EZject Pipette Tips
A revolutionary new tip design reduces ejection forces bringing you greater pipetting comfort.
Studies carried out on a wide range of standard manual pipettes have shown that ejection forces can typically be in the region of 4kg. Ejection forces are seriously affected by the amount of force used to mount the tip onto the pipette. When using traditional tips many scientists will employ a ‘pounding’ or ‘slamming’ motion to ensure the tip is fitted secure to the pipette shaft. This need is compounded when using a lower quality ‘universal fit’ tip that is poorly designed and manufactured and does not fit pipette shaft correctly.
Consequently, due to high forces used to mount the tip, the ejection force then required to remove it is also significantly increased, resulting in high forces exerted on the user every time a tip needs changing.
However, avoiding this can be inexpensive and straightforward. Combining good laboratory practices with quality pipettes and tips, that are well maintained, can substantially reduce the strain involved in pipetting and will improve your accuracy and precision.

Anachem’s New EZject Pipette Tips utilise a unique bi-fabricated wall creating a soft, flexible seal. This design ensures a secure seal is formed when applying a fraction of the force normally required to mount standard tips.
Pipetman and Anachem’s EZject Tips have been evaluated in Anachem’s Pipette Service Centre to ensure that the system provides the accuracy and precision you rely on from your Pipetman.
These results show that both sizes of tips when used with Pipetman perform well within Gilson specifications. So you will not have to compromise on accuracy and precision when using EZject tips and will benefit from improved comfort.
