MERmaid SPIN Kit. 150 Preps. MERmaid employs a technology based on GENECLEAN, but uses GLASSFOG, which binds smaller DNA fragments that are in the 10-200bp range. This property makes MERmaid the method of choice for purifying all types of double and single stranded DNA oligomers from solutions or gels, eg small PCR products, primers, linkers, and other oligonucleotides. The use of SPIN filters speeds up purification and eliminates trace matrix carry over into the eluted DNA.
