KAPA 2nd Generation Real-Time PCR Reagents

Kapa Biosystems offers a suite of Real-Time or Quantitative qPCR reagents. KAPA SYBR® FAST qPCR Kits are designed for high performance SYBR® Green I-based real-time PCR. The Master Mixes supplied in these kits contain a novel DNA polymerase, specifically engineered (using molecular evolution) for fast, high efficiency qPCR in the presence of SYBR® Green I. They provide superior sensitivity, linearity and reaction efficiency across a wide range of template types and assays.

KAPA 2nd Generation End Point PCR

Kapa Biosystems 2nd generation reagents contain novel DNA polymerases engineered specifically for your PCR application. These enzymes are fundamentally different than wild-type polymerases at the protein level and contain unique amino acid modifications that confer dramatic improvements to the function and performance of the enzyme. These products enable you to perform research and obtain results previously never possible.

Direct PCR from Crude Samples

Performing PCR directly from crude samples has previously been limited due to the inhibition of wild-type Taq by cellular debris etc. Kapa second generation enzymes have been evolved to provide high performance PCR in the presence of common inhibitors, thus saving time and eliminating laborious and costly DNA extraction procedures.

KAPA Standard PCR Reagents

KAPA Taq DNA Polymerase is based on the single-subunit, wild-type Taq DNA polymerase of the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. In the HotStart formulation, the enzyme is combined with a proprietary antibody that inactivates the enzyme until the first denaturation step. This eliminates spurious amplification products resulting from non-specific priming events during reaction setup and initiation, and increases overall reaction efficiency and sensitivity.

Nucleic Acid Purification Kits

Cell Lysis

Cell lysis can be achieved through mechanical disruption, liquid homogenization, high frequency sound waves, freeze/thaw cycles and manual grinding. Anachem offers several options for cell lysis including the FastPrep 24 instrument plus lysing chemicals and tissue grinders.

Rainin PureSpeed™ Protein Tips

Simplify, speed up and improve your protein purifications with new Rainin PureSpeed™ Protein Tips. These unique tips, used in combination with Rainin’s E4 XLS electronic pipette, enable repeated, controlled sample passage across a packed resin bed. The resulting higher binding kinetics, more efficient wash step and low volume final elution, produce more concentrated and superior purity proteins compared to conventional methods. The whole process can be completed in as little as 15 minutes with parallel processing of up to 12 samples at once.

Bambanker Serum Free Cell Freezing Media

Bambanker™ will save you time and money and greatly improve your cell recovery rates compared to regular cell freezing media. Bambanker™ is a patented, unique formulation, serum-free medium that enables long-term storage of cultured cells directly at -80°C and in liquid nitrogen. The medium can be used for the freezing and preservation of valuable and sensitive tumour or non-tumour culture cells producing higher numbers of intact cells after thawing.
