It is the overall policy of Anachem Ltd, Luton, to operate its business employing the best environmental practices possible.

  • Anachem will implement and maintain an Environmental Management System, which meets the requirements of the current version of ISO 14001.

Anachem will meet all relevant environmental legislation and regulation appropriate to the business plus any other requirements to which the Company subscribes. 

  • Anachem will also make every effort to be in the forefront of environmental thinking prior to it becoming legislation.

Anachem will ensure control of any waste discharge, which may have an adverse affect on the environment. We are committed to prevention of pollution of the environment.

Anachem will review the environmental impact of its activities and act on any areas that have significant adverse affect on the environment. Further reviews will be carried out periodically to confirm that there have been no additional activities with any significant impact on the environment.

The principal aim is for a programme of continual improvement in Anachem’s environmental performance. To this end we will set objectives and targets to reduce our significant environmental impacts.

All employees will be made aware of the impact of their actions on the environment and Anachem’s environmental policies and objectives. Employees with specific responsibilities for processes with an environmental impact will be trained in the Company’s requirements.

Anachem Ltd’s environmental policy will be available to all persons with a legitimate interest in the Company’s environmental performance.

WEEE Directive

The WEEE Directive holds manufacturers responsible for ensuring that systems exist to collect and manage electrical and electronic products at the end of their useful lives through recycling and environmentally sound disposal. The objectives of this program are to preserve, protect and improve the quality of the environment, protect human health, and utilize natural resources prudently and rationally.


In complying with this directive, end-of-life instructions and information will be available for those Anachem products which are within the scope of the WEEE Directive. Products falling under the scope of the WEEE Directive available for sale after August 13, 2005 will be identified with a WEEE symbol label, a crossed out wheeled bin with a heavy underscore.

The Anachem WEEE Producer Environment Agency registration number is WEE/CE0525WW. Anachem meets its WEEE obligations through the B2B Compliance Scheme. They will act on our behalf should you need to dispose of any waste electrical or electronic equipment that was purchased from Anachem. B2B can also assist you through their official contractor Electrocycle Ltd., should you have to dispose of other WEEE that is not covered by Anachem .
